Everyone who is Anyone is contributing covers to McCartney tribute album

The Cure and Bob Dylan among artists to contribute covers to Paul McCartney tribute album .

The Cure have covered ‘Hello Goodbye’ for the album with Robert Smith and his group joined by McCartney’s son James McCartney for the recording sessions. Watch above for footage from the studio.

Songs including ‘Maybe I’m Amazed’, ‘My Love’, ‘The Long And Winding Road’, ‘When I’m 64’, ‘Let It Be’, ‘Helter Skelter’, ‘Eleanor Rigby’ and ‘Live And Let Die’ have been recorded by a series of high profile artists, with Billy Joel, Alice Cooper, Def Leppard, Dr John, Yusuf, Barry Gibb, Jamie Cullum, Kiss, Chrissie Hynde and ELO’s Jeff Lynne all contributing to the record.

‘The Art Of McCartney’ is the project of Los Angeles producer Ralph Sall, who previously worked alongside McCartney in 2003 when they revived a song from the 1971 ‘Ram’ sessions. The album is released on November 17 and includes material from across McCartney’s career, including tracks by The Beatles, Wings and his solo career.
