Music fans and gaming fans are often one in the same when it comes to the background music of games like GTA and the likes. This should be an incredibly interesting score and it will be further incredible to see what the former Beatle is able to do for the ambience of a video game.

Paul McCartney has worked on the score for a new computer game called ‘Destiny’.

The former member of The Beatles has also composed the theme tune for the first-person shooter video game for the Playstation and Xbox, working with a 120 piece orchestra at London’s Abbey Road Studios on the piece of music. The New York Times reports that the theme tune will be released as a single. The orchestra was conducted by Beatles producer George Martin’s son Giles and produced by Mark ‘Spike’ Stent. The game is released on September 9.

The score has come together over the past four years, with McCartney joining forces with the games company Bungie’s in-house composer Marty O’Donnell and Mike Salvatori.
