Assassin’s Creed Rogue Single-Player Only ‘At This Stage’

Scheduled for November, this Assassin’s Creed episode will tie into AC Unity that will be out at the end of October.

Assassin’s Creed Rogue, the upcoming action-adventure title developed by Ubisoft Sofia, won’t feature multiplayer modes when it launches in November, publisher Ubisoft told IGN.

A Ubisoft spokesperson told IGN that there are no multiplayer components planned for Assassin’s Creed Rogue “at this stage” but was unable provide further details on whether multiplayer modes could roll out beyond its launch.

In Rogue, players take on the role of Shay Patrick Cormac, a Templar tasked with thinning the Assassin ranks as he sails around the Northern Atlantic Ocean in a ship called the Morrigan. Cormac’s story is set during The Seven Years’ War and ties into the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Unity, slated to launch October 28 on new-generation consoles and PC. Confirmed in-game locations that players can explore in Rogue include New York and the Appalachian River Valley.
