With production starting in the next couple of weeks for Star Trek 3, Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto have signed contracts for Star Trek 4. If you are a fan of the new version of the Star Trek timeline, this will be good news for you. If you care less, well, know you know there will be at least two more probable box office commercial pushes for the franchise.
Star Trek 3, likely to be called Star Trek Beyond, starts production this week aimed at its July 8, 2016 release date. But before that film is even a few days old, Paramount is already setting the table for part four.
Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto, Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock respectively, have reportedly each signed big new contracts that include an option for a fourth movie.
